Vueling, Volotea and Swiss Air add new routes from Bilbao during the Christmas period

Vueling, Volotea and Swiss Air have programmed new national and international routes from Bilbao airport for the Christmas period. This campaign includes the recovery of the connection with London-Gatwick and the re-establishment of links with Amsterdam and Granada, as well as a new direct link with Zurich. “It is interesting to recover connections with important cities such as London or Zurich”, the Bilbao Airport Route Development Committee points out.

Thus, from 17th December to 10th January, the IAG group company will offer 15 direct routes to London, Amsterdam and Granada from Bilbao airport, reaching a volume of up to 162 flights a week. In addition, Vueling will maintain the routes it has already been operating over the Christmas period: Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and Seville.

For its part, Volotea has announced a new connection between Bilbao and Granada, which will have two weekly frequencies. The company will also increase the capacity of its regular routes by 26% compared to the same period in 2019. The flights operated by this airline connect Bilbao with Alicante, Granada, Malaga, Palermo, Palma de Mallorca, Porto, Seville, Valencia and Venice. In total, the airline will offer for sale a total of 22,000 seats for flights operated from Bilbao between 4 December 2020 and 11 January 2021.
