Bilbao Airport launches the route to Tangier with Air Arabia

Bilbao Airport has resumed today a new destination, in this case with the Moroccan city of Tangier. Air Arabia will now operate two weekly frequencies to this destination, Tuesdays and Fridays, which brings the Basque Country and its area of influence closer to North Africa. The director of Bilbao Airport, Iván Grande, accompanied Lukas Krejcik, executive of Air Arabia, who represented the regional manager of AirArabia for France, Spain and Portugal, Khalid Chakrane Bachtiri, on the arrival of the flight this morning. This route, for which Air Arabia Maroc will use an Airbus 320 with capacity for 174 passengers, was inaugurated this morning coinciding with the resumption of operations to Morocco, which had to be interrupted due to the entry and exit restrictions decreed by the Maghreb country last April. At 11.25 a.m., the flight of the new route arrived punctually from Tangier-Ibn Batutta Airport. This new destination will help to connect with Morocco, a country with which until now there was no direct link from Bilbao, and contribute to strengthening the commercial, social and cultural links between the Basque Country and the Alaouite kingdom.
