The prospects for Bilbao airport for 2023 is “very positive”, as members of the Routes Committee said after their visit to Routes. “It seems that we are going to be able to recover routes at an international level that we have not yet been able to reactivate this summer and we have interesting new connectivity projects on the table that can become a reality again after the pandemic’s standstill”, they explain. During the fair, held last week in Bergen (Norway), the committee held 45 meetings with airlines, airports and other industry players.
Next summer, in addition to the traditional sun and beach destinations, the door is once again open to destinations with a “different but also very attractive” offer for international tourism. “Our positioning in that starting line is very good, as we already knew before the pandemic and we confirm it again through our presence at this type of event”.
In fact, the Committee has decided to take part in the World Routes in Las Vegas next October, in order to be able to follow these 2023 projects closely. “We are not going to name these destinations because it is too early, but they are some of those that we have been putting on our maps of desired routes since the beginning,” the organisation congratulates itself.
