New direct route to Egypt

Bilbao airport is adding a new direct route to its wide range of services: Egypt. From 31 October until the end of August 2023, the Biscayan capital will have, through Air Cairo, a weekly connection to Luxor, on Mondays. The return journey, however, will be operated from Cairo. With this new link, the aerodrome now has almost fifty direct destinations.

It is worth remembering that Bilbao Airport recorded the best August in its history with 572,094 passengers, 1% more than in the same month of 2019, before the pandemic, according to AENA. Since January, 3,284,860 people have passed through the airport, which means a recovery of 83.3% of the volume achieved in 2019.
