Promoting key routes, incorporating interesting destinations for the connectivity of the territory and maintaining existing connections are the objectives that the Bilbao Airport Routes Committee has set for its participation in CONNECT Route Development Forum, next Wednesday 22 February, which this year will be held in Tangiers.

Paris, Amsterdam, London and Rome are some of the key links that they will try to strengthen. Other possible destinations to be discussed with the airlines are Stockholm, Edinburgh, Berlin or Budapest, as well as Lyon, Marseille, Reykjavik or Billund, sowing new connections with a view to 2024.

Throughout these three intense days, the Routes Committee has already scheduled 30 meetings with airlines and airports with the intention of setting new operational and connectivity projects in order to take a step forward in the future of the aviation sector.

This major international forum brings together a number of airlines, airports, tourism delegations and other agents in the sector to develop new routes and consolidate strategies for the future of aviation. It is an essential meeting to promote the connectivity of Bilbao-Bizkaia.

425 airlines, 60 countries

Tangier will host 425 airlines from more than 60 countries to accompany them in the process of rebuilding and expanding their professional network. The delegations will have the opportunity to meet other sectorial authorities with whom to collaborate and generate a global support community.
