A “magnificent” connectivity for Easter Week and summer at Bilbao Airport

Bilbao Airport has a magnificent offer of national and international destinations for both Easter and summer, according to Iván Grande, Director of the Airport, in an interview on Radio Euskadi.

This Easter the terminal will operate 1,486 flights, a figure that represents a growth of 9.5% compared to the same period last year. This statistic translates into 60 destinations and approximately 90 confirmed routes, including Riga, Warsaw, Vienna, Cairo, Luxor and the Azores, among others.

Grande has underlined that the Tour de France may mean an increase in operations during the first week of July. The facilities at the Bilbao aerodrome are ready to face this period of intense activity, as they are constantly being adapted to cover the needs that may arise in the future.

Biscay’s capital airport is in luck, as it has registered a large number of new routes to be implemented, with a wide international offer. The connectivity for this summer and next year presents pre-pandemic figures and allows an extraordinary forecast to be made.
