Bilbao Airport adds more than 1,120,000 passengers in the first quarter of the year

Bilbao Airport has registered more than 1,120,048 users between January and March, which represents an increase of 62.2% compared to the same period in 2022. These figures are close to those obtained before the pandemic, with a minimal difference of 0.1%.

Landings and take-offs have reached 9,885 operations during the first three months of the year, which implies a 90% reinstatement compared to 2019 and a 34.4% increase compared to 2022. In March, the aerodrome handled 3,676 trips, showing a 91.7% restitution compared to the same month in 2019.

National traffic has grown by 6.9% compared to the first quarter of 2019. The airport of the Biscayan capital has allowed a total of 431,540 people to travel in March alone, which represents 97.7% of the numbers generated in March 2019.
