Bilbao Airport has integrated 18 new connections this year, some of which operate for the first time at the Biscayan terminal. Warsaw, Riga, Marrakech, Ponta Delgada, Olbia, Lyon and Tenerife South are the new direct destinations from Bilbao this year. In addition, Wizz Air, Air Baltic and Azores Airways will debut with routes to Warsaw, Riga and Ponta Delgada, respectively.

On the other hand, the Biscayan capital has recovered flights to Vienna, Funchal, Rome, Florence and Prague, which were suspended during the pandemic and had not yet been reactivated. Some of the connections that already existed are also maintained, but in 2023 will incorporate new airlines, such as Hamburg (Vueling), Zurich (Vueling), Brussels (Vueling), Faro (Volotea and Vueling) and Gran Canaria (Volotea).

It is worth highlighting the case of Ponta Delgada, operated by Azores Airways, which will allow a much easier connection from the Bilbao aerodrome with New York, Boston and Toronto, thanks to the stopover in the Azores.
