Bilbao Airport records the best May in its history with 570,984 passengers

Bilbao Airport registered 570,984 passengers last month, making it the best May ever, with an increase of 22.3% compared to the same period in 2022. As for the type of traffic, domestic traffic grew by 16.7% compared to the same month in 2022, up to 342,061 people. International passengers increased by 31.8%, with a total volume of 228,030 users. Operations also showed a positive tone in May 2023. Landing and take-off movements amounted to 4,780, representing an increase of 9.6% compared to May 2022.

In the first five months of the year, the Biscayan infrastructure has handled 2,222,528 passengers, 39.1% more than in the same period of 2022. The airport handled 19,131 landing and take-off movements, 21.7% more than from January to May 2022.
