Bilbao Airport registered 631,054 passengers last month, making it the best September in the history of the infrastructure, with 15% more users than in the same month in 2022. As for the type of traffic, domestic traffic grew by 2.4% compared to September 2022, up to 350,902 people. International travellers increased by 35.5%, with a total volume of 278,430. Operations also showed a positive tone in September 2023, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the opening of the airport. Landing and take-off movements totalled 5,120, representing an increase of 13.1% compared to September 2022.

Since the beginning of the year, the Biscayan infrastructure has handled 4,801,865 passengers, 25.3% more than in the same period in 2022. The airport handled 38,973 take-off and landing movements, 15.5% more than from January to September 2022.
