Bilbao Airport has achieved a historic milestone by reaching 6 million passengers in one year, something unprecedented since its inauguration in 1948. The best November in its history, with a total record of 452,302 travelers, coincides with the 75th anniversary of the infrastructure. This record figure represents an increase of 18.2% over the same month in 2022.

To celebrate the event, the airport director, Ivan Grande, accompanied the “6 millionth passenger”, who took off this morning aboard a Volotea Airbus 320 bound for Venice, and presented her with a commemorative gift. Likewise, Gabriel Schmilovich, Volotea’s Chief Strategy Officer, provided her with a travel voucher for future flights.
