Volotea will connect Bilbao Airport with Palermo next summer.

New developments continue to arrive at Bilbao Airport, which is giving shape to what will be the 2025 summer season. After learning that SAS Airlines will land at La Paloma with a route to Copenhagen, it is now Volotea that announces a new connection from the Biscayan terminal.

The so-called airline of small and medium-sized cities will connect Bilbao Airport with Palermo, an attractive tourist destination with a considerable artistic and architectural heritage. Volotea will serve this new route from mid-April 2025 until the end of October. It will have two frequencies, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Tickets went on sale today and can be purchased from 38 euros each way.

With this new connection, Volotea strengthens its position at Bilbao Airport, where it will reach 23 routes next summer. Volotea’s offer to Italian capitals stands out above all, with a total of seven destinations. In addition to Palermo, the low-cost airline offers connections to Rome, Naples, Florence, Bari, Olbia and Venice.
