Bilbao Airport records the best March in its history with 507,560 passengers

Bilbao Airport closed March with 507,560 passengers. Thus, the 17.6% increase in passengers makes last month the best March in the history of the Biscayan infrastructure.

As for the type of travel at the airport, both domestic and international trips have shown considerable growth. Thus, the number of domestic passengers has grown by 10.2%, up to 311,611. The same is true of international passengers, who have strengthened in the third month of the year with an increase of 31.3%, reaching the figure of 194,432.

These data are possible thanks to an upward air operations, with 3,915 landing and take-off movements, 6.5% more than in the month of March 2023.

Cumulative data through March

Operations in the first quarter of the year reached 10,428 landing and take-off movements, 5.5% more than in the same period last year. Meanwhile, passenger traffic has registered 1,298,636 passengers, 15.9% more than in the first three months of 2023.
